I wish Ashton Sanders got more recognition for his role as high school Chiron in Moonlight. He gave such a beautifully nuanced performance. How fragile he was, his tone of voice, the way he shrunk in on himself when anyone spoke to him, the resentment but love that radiated off him for his mother. sometimes you don’t need words to give a powerful performance.
